Two Specialized Tools for Superior Results
Balloon Whisks
The oversized stainless steel Balloon Whisks cover a larger area of the bowl, incorporating more air for faster, more efficient whipping. Ideal for whipped cream, egg whites, meringues, sponge cakes, buttercream, and light batters, they create stable peaks, smooth textures, and exceptional volume.
Cookie Beaters
Made with sturdy 3 mm thick stainless steel wire, the Cookie Beaters are designed to handle chilled butter for pie crust and pastry dough, while mixing up to 2 pounds of cookie or pie dough with ease. They also excel at creaming butter and sugar and blending thicker batters that require strength and stability.
Precision Construction
The closed Beater Housing features a solid design with an optimized internal gear ratio, eliminating loose parts or exposed gearwheels that require assembly. Simply push the Balloon Whisks or Cookie Beaters into place and youโre ready to mix. The housing cover is fiberglass-reinforced plastic, and the bottom plate is chrome-plated die-cast zinc for long-lasting durability and easy cleaning.
Crafted from carefully selected, high-quality materials, the integrated system enhances stability, simplifies handling, and delivers consistent performance across a wide range of baking applications.

The Ankarsrum standard balloon whisks and cookie beaters do a great job. The new, Premium Beater Set, takes performance to the next level. The new premium beater set was faster at whipping cream and egg whites, and beating various cakes and cookies. Using the balloon whisks 24 oz of cream whipped up quickly and with less mess because the larger balloon whisks were effective at a lower speed. There was no splatter anywhere. The premium beater set it is observably sturdier than the standard set which I no longer use. I love my Ankarsrum and think of it, and the premium beaters set, as an investment in a frequently used tool.

I am very pleased with the performance of the premium beater set. It is easier to assemble and disassemble as compared to the standard set. I feel comfortable working heavier loads without concern for overtaxing the beaters and gears. The beaters are more substantial. I already had the stainless steel beater bowl so the additional cost was well worth it.

I love the new premium beaters with the stainless steel bowl. I would love for the bowl to be bigger around. I used the balloon whisk making cookie dough by mistake & it was messy but worked fine.

Iโve used this premium beater set twice now. Iโm very impressed with the performance of these beaters !! I made a lovely frosting.

I can only assume Ankarsrum developed this product due to the somewhat constant complaints Americans make that they don’t understand the roller and they want the Ank to work like the Kitchen Aid they are most-familiar with. I get that. I used the KA for over 50 years before getting the Ank. So, yes, it has more of a familiarity to use this new beater set. But, no, it is still not “the same” as the KA. Having said this, I have used the whisks only once when making some icing for cookies, but I have used the beaters a couple of times when making cookie dough. They were “fine.” Definitely feel more substantial than the original ones, as do the beaters. The top portion that holds the implements is quite heavy. Essentially seems like the old one with a heavy steel plate attached to the bottom and some thicker plastic. What I definitely had as a “negative” surprise when reading the instructions, was that the top portion CANNOT be immersed in water. That means having to hand wash, with a cloth, the inner cog thingy. Would it stop me from using it? No, but it’s a negative and requires a more nuanced use to try to be less messy with stuff so I don’t have to individually wipe the cogs. Apparently any trapped water in the top must be verboten based on the testing that Ank did? That’s why I took a star off my review. I had previously, when it came out, ordered the steel bowl and decided to send it back (at the time) because I didn’t really see a benefit for my kitchen needs so I was bummed I had to spend all this money for this new set AND buy the steel bowl to use it, but, I decided to invest in it for whatever benefit I can get. The whisks, in my one trial use, were “fine.” If you do delicate merengues and things, I would think the original set would work fine, but I actually don’t use whisks a lot, even when I had a KA.

Love the new beater set. They are easy to use. They run quieter than the original set. Best part – they tackle the heavier doughs with ease. Well worth the upgrade.

Very sturdy beater set up. I am thrilled with the new beaters. The only drawback is that you canโt wash the entire beater set up. You can only wipe down the part that the actual beater inserts into. You can wash the beaters themselves. I wash it by hand. I wash all my good cooking utensils and knives by hand anyway.Since I do some gluten-free baking and some regular baking, I will have to buy another set when they become available and leave once at strictly for gluten-free mixing and the other for regular. You must remember you can only use the stainless steel bowl with this mixer set up. That was no problem because I had already purchased one when they were first available. I will probably purchase a second stainless steel bowl and leave it for gluten-free only mixing. This beater set up is a game changer! I wish they were part of the mixer package when buying the machine.
I will definitely buy a second unit once they are available

Heavy duty, sturdy as expected. I used these new beaters with the stainless bowl to make meringue last Sunday, and the result was magic – fast, perfect results. Very much like the results I am used to with the lighter weight bowl and beaters, but I felt more confident using these – this bowl and the new beaters are sturdy, not fragile like the others. One issue – the base that holds the beaters can’t be submerged in water, and can be cleaned only with a damp cloth – that felt risky, especially because the base got unavoidably covered in meringue when I disassembled it to get to the finished product in the bowl (which I am sure will happen every time I use it in the future). However, in the end I did find the base easy to clean – meringue coating it came right off with a wet soapy cloth. I’m happy with this purchase, just as I have been with the Ankarsrum overall.

Very impressed with the power and construction of the new blades. I didn’t realize i needed to get the other bowl so have just made chocolate chip cookies so far. Great me addition.
Gene Groves –
The beaters are so much better than the old ones. They are made with heavier materials and the gear box is a seal unit.

I am very pleased with this new version of beaters/whisks. Highly recommend.

The premium beater set is a game-changer! Some baked goods require cold butter and this beater set plows right through just like I imagined in my wildest dreams! So far I’ve made two batches of cookies and a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. They all turned out beautifully, and the premium beater set made it SO much easier! I’m a huge fan!

Very excited to get the new beater system to use with my stainless steel bowl. As soon as I got it, I used it to make pie crusts with cold butter, which was incredibly easy. Making meringue was so quick. You have to keep an eye on it before it over whips. Iโve also used it to make cookie dough, cheesecake, and a basic cake batter. I was also a bit nervous about getting the beater housing too wet because stuff can get into it pretty easily unless youโre super careful. It feels like it needs more than a good wipe at times. The original beater system did not feel as substantial as this new system, and I was always afraid I might break it. Now I feel confident this system will get the job done. I canโt wait to make more with it! Itโs still nice to have the original set with the plastic beater bowl as a second, backup system.

This beater is a game changer and your butter does not have to wait to be “room temperature” to start your baking. It is precision at its best. You cannot submerge the top portion in water but that is a minor inconvenience for the overall performance. I have not used the whisk attachments so cannot comment on that. I used KA for more than 50 years and switched over a few years ago. I am still getting used to the changes of the 2 mixers but I have not looked back. These attachments are a game changer!

Very impressed with the new beater set. Itโs well built. Most of it is metal. Definitely a huge upgrade from the original plastic bowl and beaters that you canโt use when the recalls for cold butter. My machine is only a few months old. I wish the new beater and metal bowl came with it or offer the new set up if your mixer is less than 90 days old. The machine is very expensive so you would expect it would come this well built upgrade.
Sallie –
absolutely the best improvement! Love the heavy duty beaters !

The premium beater set is well worth purchasing. I’ve used it exclusively since it arrived. There is no doubt that the base is significantly more robust, as well as the various beaters themselves. I don’t see the issue with the base not being submersible. I have experienced no issues with wiping down the base with a wet dishcloth and giving the internal gears that are visible a quick swipe as well with a damp cloth. I was making a recipe that called for using refrigerated butter. Initially I had cut the chunks too large (1 in. X 1 in.?) and I was afraid that I’d managed to destroy the new base. But however it is designed, it survived intact and without appearing to any worse for the misadventure. I quickly re-sized the butter chunks to my. more typical ยฝ” cubes and proceeded without further incident. I cannot recommend the premium beater set strongly enough! Thank you, Ankarsrum for building such a great accessory.

A very worthwhile upgrade! I exclusively use the stainless steel beater bowl as part of my ongoing effort to reduce plastic in my kitchen and this premium beater set is made to work exclusively with the stainless steel beater bowl. They are heavier weight/ heavier duty which is a plus and the assembly is much sturdier – I no longer worry it will crack when inserting or removing the beaters. I have no complaints about the functionality or care instructions. It is very simple to wipe clean the assembly. I bake sourdough bread weekly and I would like to see a premium accessory set for the dough bowl as well as the plastic is showing some signs of (unnecessary) wear.

I love the feel (weight) of the new beaters. I always felt hesitant using the original beaters. I was worried my dough would be to thick and the beaters would get all mangled together then my beautiful mixer would be ruined. My only issue with the new beaters is not being able to be wash the gear box in water. After I make frosting I felt like there is still a layer of butter grease on the gear box even after I wiped them down several times.

I was able to get a set of these on Pi day. Since then I have been using the beaters to make soooo many batches of cookies. The older beaters were sufficient and worked well enough, but the new heavier all stainless versions are work horses. In the SS mixing bowl they also seem to reach much deeper in the bowl, so I never end up with unmixed ingredients at the bottom of the bowl, which I would get sometimes with the old beaters.
I tend to make a bit of a mess of the central hub. Butter, flour, batter, it all gets on it when I’m mixing. After pulling the beaters I just wipe it all down with a damp sponge, dry it off with a towel and it’s good to go. Nice not to have gears falling out of it from my perspective. Plus everything is built like a tank. Looks like it will have a long and productive life.

I have been waiting for a beater set like this for a minutes. We make A LOT of Christmas cookies each year and the old beaters did just fineโฆmostly. Only made one batch of chocolate chip cookies so far and the new set performed admirably!!
Michael –
Very much worth the purchase. I have used it for all mixing. The base gets a little warm using it but there is no problem. I really donโt use the base and beaters which came with the mixer.
Mercy McLaughlin –
The new beater set has definitely upped my usage of the Ankarsrum. I was very wary of the standard set that came with the mixer given the warnings of not using cold butter. I tried the roller and the constant need to scrape the bowl had me running back to my Kitchenaid fearing I would break it. The stronger unit has given me more confidence. For the price, I wish it was a bit sturdier – metal vs. plastic, but weโll see how it holds up.
Justin Dybedahl –
Love these new beaters! They handle everything with ease and less time. The original beaters had issues powering through some of the refrigerated peanut butter or butter in some of my recipes. You can also tell that these are made well as they have some weight to them. Definitely give them a go!
Sam –
These new beaters are great! I really appreciate that both the beaters themselves and the hub that they click into are sturdy and durable. After damaging one of the original beaters that came with my set on a batch of chocolate chunk cookies, I’d shied away from tackling more cookie dough – but these new beaters have removed my worry.
Brenda –
The new beaters are amazing! Iโm very happy with the performance of the beaters when mixing cold butter.
