Ingredients
Cake
- 250 g walnuts
- 215 g butter, room temperature
- 180 g sugar (2 dl)
- 2 eggs
- 80 g corn starch (1½ dl)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
Topping
- 100 g cream cheese
- 200 g cream
- 60 g icing sugar (1 dl)
- 4 figs, fresh
- 20 g walnuts
- 1 tbsp honey, liquid
Walnut cake with figs
A delicious walnut cake with rich flavors and a creamy glaze topped with fresh figs.

Assemble the blender on the assistant.

Mix the walnuts into a flour. Mix the walnut flour with corn starch, baking powder and salt.

Set the oven to 170 ℃ (340℉).

Assemble the assistent with the beater bowl and balloon whisks.

Whisk room temperature butter with sugar until it is fluffy and white. Add one egg at a time and whisk together.

Add the flour mixture and whisk until smooth.

Pour the batter into a greased and breaded baking pan (approx. 20 cm)

Bake the cake in the lower part of the oven for 20 minutes or until toothpick test comes out clean.

Allow the bottoms to cool before assembly.

Assemble the assistent with beater bowl and balloon whisks.

Whip the cream, cream cheese, icing sugar and vanilla into fully combined.

Turn the cake upside down. Spread or pipe the frosting onto the cake.

Top with figs, walnuts and honey.
