Ankarsrum Kitchen AB (“Ankarsrum Kitchen”) produces, markets, sells and distributes kitchen machines branded as Ankarsrum®, Assistent Original®, and related accessories.

For purchases made via www.ankarsrum.com/uk, the purchase agreement is entered into with Ankarsrum Kitchen.

General

These Terms and Conditions apply when you, as a consumer (individual), place an order from Ankarsrum Kitchen’s UK webshop at www.ankarsrum.com/uk. An agreement is entered into when you receive an order confirmation.

To shop at Ankarsrum Kitchen’s e-commerce, you must be at least 18 years old, not under guardianship, and legally able to enter into agreements. If you are under 18, you must have a parent’s permission to order.

We reserve the right to revise the delivery time in case of delays. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price.  Furthermore, we reserve the right to make updates to the web site following technical errors, printing errors and typos. We reserve the right to correct errors in the price information before the order has been processed and for obvious mistakes in the price information when the order has been processed.

Deliveries and Ordering

We offer free shipping on all orders exceeding £300. Orders are shipped with DPD and delivered to your chosen address or collection point. Current shipping costs are shown at checkout.

Damage during transport must be reported immediately to Ankarsrum Kitchen, and no later than 7 days after receiving the delivery.

If you do not collect your package
Your parcel will remain at the DPD collection point according to their terms. If not collected, it will be returned to Ankarsrum Kitchen. If you have paid for your order but not collected it, you will be refunded the product price (not shipping). We may charge an administrative fee for uncollected orders.

Force Majeure
Ankarsrum Kitchen will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control or the completion would require sacrifices that are not reasonable with regard to the customer’s interest in Ankarsrum Kitchen fulfilling the purchase. The customer is not entitled to compensation for the damage suffered as a result of Ankarsrum Kitchen’s delay or fault if the delay or fault is due to an obstacle beyond Ankarsrum Kitchen’s control that could not reasonably have been foreseen at the time of purchase and the consequences of which Ankarsrum Kitchen could not reasonably have avoided or overcome.

 

Order Confirmation

Once you have completed an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. If you do not receive one, please check your spam folder or contact Customer Service.

Right of Withdrawal (Cancellations)

As a UK consumer, you have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. The cancellation period starts the day after you receive your goods.

To exercise this right, contact Ankarsrum Kitchen by phone or email within 14 days. You then have another 14 days to return the goods. This shall be done via telephone number +46 (0) 490-52 000 or email, [email protected].

 

If you choose to cancel your purchase, the product must be sent to Ankarsrum Kitchen within fourteen (14) days from the date you notified Ankarsrum Kitchen that you change your mind. The return is paid for by the customer. You will receive your refund no later than fourteen (14) days after we were informed of your decision to cancel the order. We have the right to wait with the refund until we have received the goods. We will refund via the same payment method as the purchase was originally made.

Ankarsrum Kitchen is not responsible for the product during the time it is sent back to Ankarsrum Kitchen from the customer due to the right of withdrawal. Be sure to package the item(s) carefully and send it back as a package. Keep the transport number until you have been refunded or contacted.

The item must be returned with the original packaging and in the same condition as you received it, Ankarsrum Kitchen has the right to charge costs for restoring products to their original condition.

Returns Policy

In addition to your statutory cancellation rights, Ankarsrum Kitchen offers a 30-day return policy. Returns must be in original packaging and in unused condition. If not, deductions may be applied.

To report a return, contact Ankarsrum Kitchen by phone or email. This shall be done via telephone number +46 (0) 490-52 000 or email, [email protected].

Ankarsrum Kitchen will cover the return shipping cost. You, as a customer, are responsible for the item being sent backin the same condition as you received it, mint condition and complete with packaging and original box. Deviations from this may result in a deduction of the purchase price in case of damage that has occurred in shipping, during cleaning or missing parts. Apart from this, the terms and conditions stipulated by the right of withdrawal apply.

 

Complaints and Faulty Goods

Every machine undergoes a quality control before it is sent to you as a consumer. Should the product, despite the quality control, be defected or faulty when it arrives, you as a consumer (not a company) have a three (3) year right of complaint on original defects from the day you purchased the product. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the right to:

  • A full refund if goods are faulty and returned within 30 days.
  • Repair or replacement if goods are faulty within six months.
  • In some cases, further rights for up to six years.

If you wish to make a complaint, contact our Customer Service with details of the fault. Approved complaints will have return shipping costs covered by Ankarsrum Kitchen.

 

Warranty

Our machine model AKM6230 (1500W) comes with a seven (7) year factory warranty, covering the machine but not accessories. Older models have a five (5) year warranty. The warranty applies only to domestic use and when the user manual has been followed.

If used commercially or in non-household settings, the warranty is limited to one (1) year.

Payment and Prices

All prices on www.ankarsrum.com/uk are in GBP and include VAT (20%). The VAT amount is specified on your order confirmation/receipt.

Secure payment
Shopping at Ankarsrum Kitchen’s e-commerce is safe and easy. You choose between payment by invoice (Klarna), partial payment (Klarna Account), or card payment where your debit or credit card is connected to Visa or Mastercard/Eurocard. More information about the different payment options can be found under the respective headings below.

Payment with card
If you have a debit or credit card issued by Visa or Mastercard, you can pay through your credit card. When you choose this payment option, the amount will be reserved on your credit card for your order and payment will only be made when the goods are sent to you.

Invoice
The invoice is sent via email from Klarna. The invoice is handed over to our partner, Klarna AB, who performs a simplified credit check without sending a copy to you. Partial payment (Klarna account)
If you choose partial payment as a payment option, you choose how much you want to pay each month. Partial payment is handled by our partner, Klarna AB. Intellectual Property

All content on www.ankarsrum.com is owned by Ankarsrum Kitchen and protected under intellectual property law. Trademarks, names, images, and other content may not be copied or used without prior written consent.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be handled by UK courts. You may also use the UK-approved Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for consumer disputes.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

Ankarsrum Kitchen reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions. Updates will be published on www.ankarsrum.com/uk. The version in force at the time of your order applies.
