Set oven to 200 °C (392 °F). Cover two baking pans with baking sheet paper.
Assemble the assistent with beater bowl and cookie whisks.
Slice the butter and mix together with sugar and vanilla sugar.
Add remaining ingredients and mix into a dough.
Divide the dough into six parts and roll to equal lengths. Place three of the lengths sparsely on each baking pan.
Flatten the lengths and brush with beaten egg. Sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake in the center of the oven for 10-12 minutes or until they have some color.
Remove the pan from the oven and cut the lengths into oblique pieces while still warm. Allow to cool.
