Ingredients

  • 0.5 kg apples (about 1 lb 2 oz)
  • 0.5 kg pears (about 1 lb 2 oz)

Add half as much sugar as mash (ex 1 kg (2.2 lb) mash = ½ kg (about 2½ cups) sugar)

Apple and Pear Puree

Make your own apple- and pear puree. With our accessory "strainer" it's both fast and easy.

    Follow these steps

    1. Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Place parchment paper on a baking sheet.

    2. Rinse the pears and apples and divide them into four parts, cut off any damaged parts.

    3. Spread out the fruit on the parchment paper, sprinkle with some sugar and add another parchment paper on top so that it forms a lid.

    4. Bake in the oven until the fruit feels soft, about 15-20 minutes.

    5. Assemble the Assistent with the Mincer and the Strainer attachments.

    6. Process all the fruit through the Strainer.

    7. Measure the pureed fruit and pour into a saucepan. Add half as much sugar as the fruit mash and heat gently under careful stirring until the sugar dissolves. Do not bring to a boil.

    8. Place the apple and pear puree in jars and allow to cool.

    9. If you want the puree to maintain its bright color, add ascorbic acid (1 pinches / liter).
